No account. No adverts. No servers. Nothing it records ever leaves your phone.
What it does
Four things, and nothing it does not need to.
Your games, on shelves
It finds the games on your phone and sorts them: recently played, barely played, and dormant. Add any app to the list, or take one off it.
An honest count
How long each game was actually open — today, this week, this month, all time. Nothing estimated, nothing rounded in your favour.
Limits you set
A daily limit shared by every game, a limit for one game alone, a cap on a single sitting, and bedtime hours. You choose all of them.
A screen, not a lock
Reach a limit and DratonHub shows you the figures. Close it, take a few more minutes, or ignore it for the day. Nothing is ever shut for you.
It is not watching you for anyone else
DratonHub is for the person holding the phone. There is no pairing, no remote view, no dashboard someone else can log into, and no way for one person to watch another. It is a tool for keeping your own count.
It cannot read your screen, your messages, or anything inside another app. It reads which app is in front and for how long, through Android's own usage statistics, and nothing else.
What it asks for, and why
Each one is requested in context, with the reason on screen. Say no to any of them and the app still works, with less to show for it.
- Usage access
- So it can tell which app is in front and measure how long a game was open. You grant this by hand in Android Settings — no app can grant it for you.
- Display over other apps
- So the limit screen can appear on top of a game when you reach a limit. Without it, DratonHub sends a notification instead.
- Notifications
- The ongoing notice while it is counting, warnings before a limit, and the weekly summary.
- Foreground service
- Android requires this of any app that keeps working while you are inside another one.
Where things stand
DratonHub is in development and not yet on Google Play. This page will say so when it is.
The privacy policy is published here already, because it describes how the app is built rather than something decided later.
